  1. What insurances do you take?
We take all PPO's, all HMO's, Worker's Comp, Medicare Part D, and Medi-Cal. The only insurance we do not take is Cal-Optima.

  2. How do I let my patients know about Assured Pharmacy?

We have patient brochures and in-office posters available for your use. You can also schedule a "patient education" day where an Assured Pharmacy representative will come to your office to speak with the patients. We bring in coffee and a light breakfast and answer any questions they might have.

  3. What do I do about my triplicates (security paper)?

We can do a couple of different things.

    1. If your office is in close proximity to an Assured Pharmacy location we can arrange a driver to pick up your prescriptions on a daily basis, provided there is a reasonable number of them to pickup.

    2. If you are in California, we can also provide you with pre-paid California Overnight packs to send us the prescriptions. (This normally is a 48 hour turn around.)

  4. 4. Where do you deliver prescriptions to?

    Anywhere in the U.S.

  5. How long before the patient gets their medications and when do I need the script in by?

As long as we get the prescription by 4:30 and get a hold of the patient to confirm delivery, the patient will normally receive their medications the next day.

  6. Are your prices comparable?

If the patient has insurance, their co-pay will be the same as any other pharmacy. There are no hidden charges. If the patient is paying cash, Assured Pharmacy will usually beat or match any price the customer is paying.

  7. How do you take care of their co-payment?

There are a couple of ways we can set it up for a customer.

    1. We can use a credit card that we keep on file for the patients.

    2. We can take checks over the phone.

If they do not have means to do these two options and their co-pay isn't too high, we can bill them when they receive the medications. We give them a pre-paid envelope to send the co-pay back to us.

  8. Do you have a retail store they can go to?

We do have retail stores that a customer can go to. Please check the LOCATIONS section of the website for the most up-to-date list.

  9. 9. Can a customer get all their prescriptions filled through Assured Pharmacy?

    YES

  10. What about stocking the newly FDA approved medications? And what if I need you to stock a specific drug?

Our pharmacists are very well informed about the newest drugs coming into the market, but if there are specific drugs you need that not a lot of pharmacies will stock let us know and we will be happy to always have them for you. We will also give you a formulary to fill out for us of all the medications you prescribe and their dosages so we can make sure to always have these in stock for you as well.

  11. If I am enrolling to e-prescribe with Assured Pharmacy, what are the next steps?

We would have our IT department gather all your patient demographics from your billing software. It's all HIPPA compliant - we only take name, DOB, address, and phone number, no SSN#. We then upload it to your account, give you and your staff user names and passwords, and come in to your offices to conduct training. You then can begin to script.

  12. How much does Assured Pharmacy charge for e-prescribing?

There are no costs for this service.

  13. Is Assured Pharmacy's e-prescribing system HIPPA compliant?

Yes, it is 100% HIPPA compliant.

  14. Do patients need to go to the pharmacy to pick up their schedule II medications?

No, however, if the patient is a new patient then we would like for them to make their initial visit to the pharmacy, if at all possible, so we can get their current information including insurance. The reason we do not need the patient to go to the pharmacy to pick up their schedule II prescriptions is because our driver/tech will pick up the schedule II hard copy at your office*, return it to the pharmacy, and we can then mail the Rx to the patient's home. (*Some restrictions do apply.)

  15. We don't have access to the web. Can we still take advantage of your services?

    Absolutely.

  16. We don't wish to use your e-prescribing system, can we still take advantage of your services?

YES! We can take all scripts including schedule II's via fax. Once we get the faxed prescription, we know that there is a hard copy Rx to be picked up at your office*. Once the Rx has been picked up and returned to the pharmacy, we can mail the Rx to the patient. If the patient wishes to pick up the Rx at the pharmacy, he/she can also bring in the schedule II Rx hard copy. (*Some restrictions apply.)
